No problem - pas de problème! Andrea is bilingual, as is the amazing staff at Hotel des Grandes Ecoles. 

While this is a writing retreat, a limited number of spaces are offered for non-writing companions. Space for non-writers is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Cost of $1750 includes all activities except writing sessions and private consultation with Andrea.  

Yes. Following payment of a nonrefundable deposit of $1250, remaining balance may be paid in two additional payments of $1750, with final payment due 120 days before departure.

Moderate to…as active as you would like! Paris is a very walkable city, and we’ll explore neighborhoods and sites within walking distance of our hotel. Participants should be able to walk comfortably for one to two miles or up to 45 minutes at a time.

After breakfast, we’ll enjoy Paris as a backdrop for our morning writing session, usually combined with an inspirational visit to a charming locale. On any given day, the group may take a tour of a hidden garden, visit a marionette studio, or meet a pastry chef and other creative artisans. We’ll lunch in favorite eateries of the Latin Quarter. Participants may choose to spend afternoon time writing, and will have ample time each day and evening to explore Paris at will.  

Absolutely! Unstructured time is critical to creativity, and is offered every day. As mentioned above, late afternoons and evenings are yours to spend however you wish: reading, writing, snoozing, shopping, walking along the Seine, climbing the towers of Notre Dame, learning to play the accordion…Paris is your playground.
